AMBER KAROM

MSW, LCSW, CCTP

Owner-Clinical Therapist

Sometimes, we all need a little extra support. Life can sometimes be challenging, and having a safe space is vital to our overall wellness.

My name is Amber Karom, and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional. As a mental health therapist, I will maintain a safe space for you.

I understand how vital a therapeutic relationship is, and I will work with you to identify your therapeutic goals. Together we will work on identifying areas of growth that you desire.

You are unique and have individual needs and goals. Although you may need some extra support, you are an expert in your own life, and you deserve a therapist who will see you, hear you, and help you to celebrate just how important and strong you are.

I pull from a Trauma-Informed, Person-Centered, and Strength-Based approach. In addition to helping clients work through anxiety, depression, grieving, and other daily hindering symptoms, I also specialize in assisting clients in exploring trauma-related issues.

Facing modern life’s complexities can be overwhelming, filled with emotions like depression, anxiety, and loneliness. Despite numerous ways to connect, many feel increasingly isolated, trapped in damaging cycles of negative thoughts, relationships, and everyday pressures that leave little room for personal reflection. Our therapeutic approach aims to address these distressing symptoms while delving into the patterns contributing to your feelings of stagnation and unfulfillment. We focus on fostering a meaningful life and enriching relationships.

Together, we will navigate your personal narrative, examining the patterns, behaviors, and relationships that have shaped your worldview. By employing a collaborative, evidence-based approach that integrates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) within an attachment and person-centered framework, we honor your expertise on your own life, ensuring therapy is tailored to your unique perspective.

As a South Asian, Muslim therapist from an immigrant background, I understand the challenges of seeking support in a culture unfamiliar with therapy. Taking that initial step towards help can be daunting but is also incredibly brave. Whatever your reasons for seeking therapy, I am here to support your journey towards the life you envision for yourself.

My therapeutic approach is derived from a strengths-based perspective paired with cognitive behavioral therapy modalities. My goal is to meet you where you are, as you are. I invite you to reach out to schedule a time to talk. I look forward to supporting you.
